New NWA National Champ and Junior Heavyweight Champ

The NWA has seen another title change.  Lou Marconi has defeated Nitro for the National Championship.  Nitro had cost Lou the Eastern States title several times including lately to Malice.  Lou got his revenge by taking the coveted National Title, the 3rd or 4th highest belt depending on how you rank the Junior Heavyweight Title.
Marconi has long been ranked as one of the top 10 performers in the NWA, and now he has a nationwide belt.  I think this is a test drive for Marconi.  If he can draw with this belt, then he could be in line for a World Title run in a year or so.

Also Ricky Morton dropped the Junior Heavyweight Title back to Chase Owens.  This is good news.  It was nice to give Ricky a singles belt, but it was time to give it back to Chase.  The problem is whether or not the Junior Heavyweight Title is going to get stuck in Smoky Mtn to the point that it loses its national interest.  It has been traded several time within that company.  Owens still needs to finish the trilogy with Kincaid over the title, but that still keeps it in Smoky Mtn.  It would be nice to see some of the other Junior Heavyweights around the nation get shots at this title.
