This is a reminder that sometimes the best NWA action takes place overseas.
All Action Wrestling has their big lead in show with Road To Anniversary. Chris Target is still the NWA Australia champ and has a non-title match that if he wins he gets to pick what type of match his title match will be at Anniversary. Also in action is the other big player over there The Shark. Shark has been destroying the Foundation, and has a Money in the Bank type shot at the Australian title, so that is always worth keeping an eye upon.
NWA Fight Nation is one of the best promotions in all the NWA. NWA British Champ Marty Scrull takes on Doug Williams in a huge main event. Marty Scrull is a great heel champ and Doug Williams is a former TNA X-Division champ and basically an all around well known British wrestler. They also have a #1 contender match featuring Gunner (formerly of TNA) against Mark Haskins. They have Joel Redman (formerly of NXT) vs. The Franchise Shane Douglas. I saw one billing that claimed it was the last trip to England for the Franchise so it is a bit of a fair well tour. Also in tag action Liquid Dreams takes on Bromans (formerly of TNA). I don't think there is a tag title in Fight Nation, but Liquid Dreams would have it. They have dominated so far. Fight Nation is loaded with talent for this show.
Both of these shows take place Saturday the 27th. Both Target and Scrull have held the equivalent of the National title for some time and should be considered top contenders for the World Title.
Yes, there is still a World Junior Heavyweight Title in New Japan with Tiger Mask IV. He has yet to defend that title in almost half a year now. He does participate in most major shows in their 6 and 8 man tag events. Tiger Mask is not in the New Japan Cup and the World Junior Heavyweight Title is quickly becoming pointless.
