Upcoming Big Events

The NWA is rolling into its big season as well.  This year they are adding a new major event, but probably just this once.  It is the Parade of Champions hosted by the IHWE, a rather new to the NWA promotion.  Wrestlemania is in Dallas that week, and IHWE and the NWA are putting on the Parade of Champions in Fort Worth to capitalize.  Sounds good to me.

The card is still a little sketchy to me, but I would not be surprised to see Raymond Rowe challenge for the NWA World Title against Jax Dane.  Both men are advertised.  Charlie Haas, who I believe is the IHWE champ will probably defend against Rodney Mack (a local guy).  This feud has been on going in IHWE.  Rodney Mack is not mentioned in the national promos, but is on the poster.  Charlie Haas is being mentioned everywhere. SEE UPDATE BELOW

The show will also include the Iron Empire and Amber Gallows defending their respective titles.  They are on the poster as well.  As is Chase Owens, who is being advertised nationally as a Bullet Club member.  Owens is on the rise.

A man mentioned by name in the places it is being pushed, but not on the poster is North American Champ Tim Storm.

The other big event is the upcoming Las Vegas Cauliflower Alley show hosted by Vendetta Pro Wrestling.  This is April 10-13 with at least two nights of NWA action.  The card should start to become clearer after Februtality where Vendetta Pro returns Little Cholo and has a Tri-Force championship match.  Although one can probably assume that World Junior Heavyweight Champion Tiger Mask IV will be defending (and losing) his title there.

Just to keep you up to date the NWA has a new promotion in KY.  It is NWA New South wrestling and Jeremiah Plunkett is the man from the NWA to help break in the company.  Plunkett has just won the Southern Title and TV title (both of NWA SAW), and will be there at the next show.  This does let you know that Shawn Shultz's reign as a two belt man is over.  Shultz dropped the TV title to Plunkett at SAW in January and then turned around and dropped the Mid American Title to Jim Justice at NWA Supreme.
Badd Blood, a top contender for the NWA World Title, has dropped the NWA Pacific Northwest Title after having it for over a year (Blue Collar).  He did not lose, he simply relinquished it in order to focus on defending the NWA Continental title, which is based in NWA RAGE (NC).

UPDATE: The match announcement is out now, and I was wrong.  Charlie Haas, the IHWE champ will get the shot against Jax Dane for the NWA World Title.
